Independence Jr. High Earns 'Exemplary' Rating!
The Illinois State Board of Education released the 2024-2025 Illinois School Report Card on October 30, and Independence Jr. High received an 'Exemplary' designation, the highest possible rating from the state. This places IJHS among the top 3% of schools in Illinois.
The annual Illinois School Report Card evaluates schools based on multiple measures, including student performance and growth on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) in English Language Arts and Mathematics, student attendance, and results from the statewide climate survey.
