WHAT IS AN E-BIKE? E-Bikes are electric bicycles that:
*Include motor assistance (motor less than 750 watts)
*Equipped with fully operable pedals
*No driver's license required
*Any device 750W and above is PROHIBITED - Check the watts!
E-BIKE REGULATIONS
*Must be labeled with classification, top assisted speed and motor wattage
*Are not permitted on sidewalks, including our downtown area
*Must be equipped with a lamp at the front and a reflector at the back to operate at night
*Can only be ridden on the roadway and must abide by the Bicycle Rules of the Road
A person may not operate a low-speed electric scooter unless they are 18 years of age. Please see ordinance 0-15-25 for more information on motorized scooters
